I'm Prof. Tony Jannu — a husband, father, pharmacist, educator, entrepreneur, and lifelong community servant. I am most proud to share life with my wife Sahithi and our three incredible children — Suchir, Suronsher, and Surukshak — who inspire me every day to serve with purpose and heart.

As the National Coordinator for the Mana American Telugu Association (MATA), I am dedicated to uplifting the Indian diaspora through service, culture, education, and collaboration. I believe in the power of unity and in building bridges between generations — preserving our rich heritage while advancing opportunities for future leaders.

Professionally, I serve as an Assistant Professor at the USF Taneja College of Pharmacy and as an Entrepreneur and CEO of Butterfly Pharmacy, a growing group of pharmacies serving psychiatric, geriatric, and medically underserved populations. My work is rooted in a deep passion for mental health, substance abuse treatment, and care for chronic disease states, with a mission to create accessible, compassionate systems that close care gaps and improve outcomes.

I'm also actively involved in real estate development and investment, with a focus on community-driven projects that combine sustainability, innovation, and long-term value.

In addition to my academic and entrepreneurial roles, I serve as Director of Financial Strategy at Ocimum Labs, India and sit on the Board of ACTS Behavioral Health. Across all these roles, I strive to be a voice for the underserved, a connector of communities, and a champion for holistic wellness and equity in healthcare.

With MATA, my heart is fully invested in helping Indian families across the U.S. grow stronger, more unified, and more inspired — rooted in tradition, excellence, and shared hope. MATA plays a vital role in helping the Indian community cross cultural and societal barriers, easing integration with the local American community, and fostering unity, inclusion, and a shared sense of belonging as part of the broader society.
